Philosophy

  • For our customers, we are... FAST, FLEXIBLE, TAILOR-MADE and strongly SERVICE-oriented.
  • With our know-how and high knowledge of the industry we help you to realize your ideas, develop your product until it is ready for serial production or "just" look for an IDEAL partner to manufacture your item according to approved drawing. IDEAL could mean: best PRICE, best QUALITY, shortest DELIVERY TIME and AVAILABILITY, lowest RISK or any COMBINATION thereof.
  • Following the order placement, we organize the series logistics chain and supervise the order up to the last spare parts delivery.
  • We offer you demand-oriented, lean, independent external supply chain management...with its important elements ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT, LOGISTICS

Competencies

Engineering

  • Sattler GmbH offers you a promising combination of experience with grown contacts up to the niches of the rubber and plastics industry, and "Up-to-Date" technology know-how, paired with a healthy portion of pragmatism on fast decision ways.
  • From their many years of experience in development, application and sales at top companies in the automotive industry, our young engineers also have the necessary methodological and technological know-how to take your products to the next level.
  • Important elements from advance quality planning (APQP) such as FMEA, FE analyses, design verification and/or component validation are used in the development phase of your products. 3D data can of course be read and processed by us. In addition to STEP, IGES, AutoCAD, we can also process native data from Catia, Pro/E, I-DEAS or Unigraphics if required.

Acquisition

  • Our growing partner network now includes more than 50 companies audited by us with certified quality standards in Germany, within and outside Europe, and even in Asia. (LOW-COST-COUNTRY).
  • Our dynamic network is constantly growing to ensure the success of our customers. Here we actively use our contacts in the industry to pick up promising trends for the benefit of our customers.
  • With our most important partners, framework agreements lead to an increase in competitiveness.
  • The factors of quality, availability, risk, price and also customer goals must be constantly considered and weighed against each other to find the ideal procurement route for your product.
  • If several individual parts are delivered to the customer as an assembly, usually 3-4 different partners are used. Sattler GmbH takes over the planning, coordination, demand-oriented assembly and, if necessary, final assembly before the complete assembly leaves our company.
  • We actively support the customer's quality (pre-planning) process through manufacturing process and supplier audits according to customer criteria. Our quality engineer has completed auditor training for this.

Logistics

  • Sattler GmbH organizes a demand-driven logistics process that is primarily oriented towards maximizing availability and minimizing risk.
  • Important methods that have been successfully used by us for years - to name just a few key words - consignment stock (for procurements from Asia or non-European countries) - dual sourcing/ two-delivery strategy (LOW-COST-COUNTRY) with intermediate storage at Sattler GmbH. Flexible call-off at the customer possible - stocksharing - bundled raw material procurement

Parts manufacturing/production

Molded parts with functional requirements

  • Since September 2009, we have been manufacturing molded parts with functional requirements in design or material (such as seals, valves, balls, rubber-metal connections,...) preferably in the highly technologically equipped manufacturing plants in Italy and Taiwan (cooperation partner). Here, too, we rely on lean structures, up-to-date know-how and modern production facilities. Coupled with the competitive cost situation in the plants, this results in the decisive advantage for our customers.
  • From their many years of experience in precision parts production for well-known customers, the production engineers have the necessary know-how to manufacture functional parts from elastomers, if necessary in the ppm range, and to deburr and test them using the latest methods.

Raw material procurement and preparation

  • Raw materials and compounds are sourced exclusively from leading manufacturers such as Dow Corning, DuPont, Wacker, etc. and undergo compound preparation that is also ISO 9001:2015 certified.
  • We always publish 100% of the ingredients of our compounds to our customers and provide material data sheets as well as safety data sheets according to international standards. The conformity regarding directives such as RoHS, REACh, etc. are confirmed.
  • Material sampling documents (required according to PPAP or VDA Volume 2) are supplemented, if necessary, by customer-specific material test results (ASTM, DIN, ISO, various DBL, VW 2.8.1, etc.). The customer then receives factory and material test certificates with each delivery, if required.

Quality assurance and competitiveness

  • Of course, the manufacturing plants are ISO 9001:2015 certified.
  • Extensive testing and measuring capabilities, including optical, allow seamless inspection of manufactured "features".
  • In line with our philosophy, our manufacturing plants must always prove their competitiveness, because we also consider other manufacturing options - possibly in order to achieve logistical advantages for our customers.

Quality certificates

We have been officially ISO 9001 certified since October 2008 and implemented the 2015 standard level in 2018. The scope includes the development of rubber and plastic parts. You can download our current certificates here.

  • Our manufacturing plants are at least ISO 9001 certified and audited by us. These certificates can be viewed by our customers if required.
